Fly fishing with us
Twin Lakes is widely known as one of Australia’s best privately owned trout fisheries. The lakes are filled with a variety of brown, rainbow, tiger, and brook trout.
We offer in-house full day & half day fly fishing tuition and guiding on the lakes, teaching everything required to fly fish successfully including casting and spotting fish.
We tailor instruction for anglers of all ages and anyone wishing to get an introduction to fly fishing will find our tuition especially beneficial.
Fishing licences are not required, and all equipment is included in the quoted price. We follow sustainable fishing practises - our lakes are catch and release only.
Full day Guiding
Visit Twin Lakes for a full day and learn everything you’ve always wanted to know about fly fishing. Our fly fishing guiding includes all equipment, a fly tying demonstration and light refreshments upon request.
Half day Guiding
We also offer half day guiding for visitors. Often visitors stay with us for a couple of nights and request a half day of fly fishing guiding to get them started on their weekend of fly fishing. The guiding and tuition will teach you how to successfully catch trout, correct casting technique and includes all equipment.
Exclusive access
We offer the opportunity for anglers to have access to fish our private lakes. Contact us directly for date availability. When you book a stay in Monty’s Lakeside Cottage you have free and exclusive access to fish the small lake.
Fly Fishing Group Retreat
Indulge in a weekend of fly fishing and quality Tasmanian hospitality. Twin Lakes offers tailored retreat weekends with a fully hosted program of fishing guiding, fly tying and casting tuition. We can provide a quote for chef prepared meals and engage additional fishing guides for larger groups. All levels of anglers welcome.
